The EHM Financial Officer (Financial Officer), under the direction of the EvergreenHealth (EH) System Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and in collaboration with and support to the EvergreenHealth Monroe (EHM) Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) (through a matrix reporting relationship), has responsibility for management of EHM finances. The Financial Officer advises EH & EHM leadership, the Alliance Governance Board (AGB), District Board of Commissioners (as appropriate), and the public on the financial operations of the Hospital. In addition, the Financial Officer assumes general administrative management responsibility for assigned hospital functions through a combination of direct reporting & matrix reporting relationships with EH for system shared services. The Financial Officer is responsible for providing input on the development and implementation of system-wide policies related to accounting/finance, budgeting, revenue cycle, payer contracting, systems development, internal controls and maintenance of records and procedures to adequately safeguard the assets of the organization. The Financial Officer serves on the EHM Administrative Team, and is a key member of the EH Leadership Council. The Financial Officer is responsible for role modeling and consistently exemplifying the EvergreenHealth Leadership Principles to promote a positive culture within the organization and leadership teams.

Required for the position:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance and/or Accounting
  • At least 5 years of progressive senior healthcare financial management experience, including operating
  • performance improvement, revenue enhancement and cost containment
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Ability to communicate clearly and accurately, in writing and in public speaking
  • Proficient skills to use Microsoft Office, specialized software and electronic office equipment

Desired for this position:

  • Master's degree in Business, Finance and/or Accounting
  • Public Hospital District experience with an understanding of the need for sensitivity to public scrutiny
  • Financial turnaround experience

Annual Salary Range: $131,380 - $206,000
