They run tens of thousands of businesses in our state; they support scores of Spanish-language newspapers, radio and TV stations; they make up a sizable proportion of nearly every county in the state, and they are elected into critical leadership positions.

There’s no denying that there’s been an increased politicization of health care. As pressure from the Administration to chip away at the ACA intensifies, AltaMed leaders have responded by launching a non-partisan civic engagement program called My Vote, My Health or Mi Voto, Mi Salud™. This program aims to inform, empower and mobilize our patients and employees to protect access to their health care through the power of their vote. It also addresses low voter turnout among eligible Latinos.
